Danish painter and designer Sofie Børsting is based in Raadvad close to
Copenhagen and educated from the Royal Danish Academy, textile design. 

The artwork are created in a kind of a quiet meditative process between inner visions and the slow proces unfolding using multiple materials such as, graphite, oil, gouache,ink and colour pencils. Often a painting or collage are on the go for for months or even Years, perhaps being torn apart and fragments being used in a new constellation, until there is resonance between that something sought after and what is present on the paper or canvas. Light, space, time, nature, reflections in a puddle, fragments of our life on the planet and the human journey perceiving it are constant inspiration. With a background as a textile designer, some of the artwork available as prints have been been part of her own exclusive textile collections.
