The picture is part of a series from New York which illuminates the different moments and spaces of the pulsating city; in a permanent state of flux with its hectic life and the constant backdrop of loud city sounds, I found that the camera enabled me to find places in which the city breathed calmly and exuded an unseen feeling of harmony and tranquility. I managed to find aesthetic motives despite the seeming mess and chaos. The photos are shot with long exposure time to give them an expression resembling that of a painting. The strokes illustrate the vibrant city life which - with the right frame of mind - is in itself peaceful and full of unseen beauty.
