Sofie Børsting

Visual artist and designer, Sofie Børsting, has been educated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, with a degree in textile design.

Over the years she has felt the need to experiment with a wide variety of expressions. From textile design, to illustrations, and visual art.

Nature is a strong source of inspiration in her work, yet in an abstract way. Sofie´s botanical art contain a great deal of intricate shapes, details, and collage techniques.

“ How I think it will look when I start is never how it ends like becoming. The way I work, is often very surprising, colours and shapes appear on the surface and guide the way. The artwork is created from a mixture of an intuitive and meditative painting and drawing process.”
