Laura Page, an illustrator and painter based in Brighton, UK. Using the traditional media of gouache paint and oil pastels, all her illustrations are hand painted and take inspiration from travel, nature and pattern.
Her illustrations aim to capture a sense of comfort and calm, where brushstrokes and textures are visible within the illustrations to add to the hand-made feel of the work.
"I started creating art from a very young age, always with a pencil and paper in my hand, even while watch TV! I knew I wanted to go to university and study Illustration, which I did before going freelance. My inspiration has always come from my surroundings, travel, magazines, photography... beautiful things I'd like to capture and commit to paper and paint." - Laura Page
