In Schweden wurde die junge Lisa Wirenfelt geboren. Vor allem mit ihrer Mutter, einer Kinderbuchdesignerin, begeistert sie sich für Grafikdesign. Eine alte Werkstatt"rosa und verstaubt", wie sie sich gerne erinnert. Nach ihrem Kommunikationsstudium an der Berkeley und der Lund University zog sie nach New York und nahm ihre Bleistifte und ihren Papierblock mit über den Atlantik.
