Sven Henriksen is en relatively unknown but absolutely excellent poster artist who had a simple and very effective German-inspired style. He was the only artist in the golden age of Danish poster art who specialized exclusively in poster production, and he became a seasoned producer of very beautiful and eye-catching posters. His production is characterized by a consistently very high level, and he mainly made advertising and exhibition posters, often for the Forum or the Industribygningen in Copenhagen. At Dansk Plakatkunst he is, among other things, represented with the posters Hellesen (1930) and Person-Automobile Exhibition (1930). Sven Henriksen died at the peak of his career after a banal accident in his studio, where he stuck himself on a nail and subsequently died of blood poisoning. It was before the time of penicillin.
