Nassim Azarzar’s work embodies the fluidity of identities and cultures, shaped by his upbringing in Épinay-sur-Seine, a Parisian suburb with a rich and complex tapestry of diasporic influences. Nassim’s early environment was marked by contrasts – celebrating diversity while navigating the tension of cultural assimilation. In 2013, he relocated to Morocco, his family’s homeland, to engage more deeply with his roots. This transition, though challenging, became the foundation for a multidisciplinary practice that weaves together painting, sculpture, experimental cinema, poetry and sound.
