In 1984, Francesco Moser broke the hour record riding an astonishing 51,151 km. The bike is an early example of the new golden area of aerodynamic cycle technology. After Eddy Merckx hour record in 1972, Moser took a completely different approach from a technological standpoint focusing on aerodynamics, frame geometry and disc wheels.
